Adventure centre website and online booking for Tactixs
A striking, modern website for Tactixs Adventure Centre. Designed to showcase the centre's range of activities and allow customers to book online, we created an on-brand, attractive and user-friendly website using Laravel and Roller.
Tactixs in numbers
The challenge: a new venue, unknown
Tactixs had a brand new identity, gritty and loud, and a set of activities that only make sense once you can picture yourself doing them.
Axe throwing and an interactive games floor do not sell from a paragraph of description. The centre also depends on group bookings, parties and corporate days, which are exactly the bookings people abandon if the process takes more than a couple of minutes.
A group booking is several decisions at once. Somebody organising a birthday or a work day out is choosing an activity, a date, a time and a headcount on behalf of people who are not in the room, and every extra step is a chance to give up and book somewhere else.
The brand was brand new as well, with no existing audience and nothing familiar to lean on, so the site had to establish what Tactixs even is before it could sell anything.
Our approach: show the activities
Axe throwing and an interactive games floor do not sell from a paragraph of description.
So the activities lead with imagery of people doing them. The identity was new and deliberately loud, all gritty texture and bold colour, and the site was built to match it rather than to soften it, because a family choosing between an adventure centre and the cinema is buying the atmosphere as much as the activity.
Every activity gets a page that answers the practical questions first: what it is, who it suits, how long it takes and what it costs. Parties, groups and corporate days get their own routes, because somebody organising for twelve people wants different information from somebody booking for two.
Roller handles booking and payment, so the team manage availability and pricing in a system built for activity venues, and the site stays the part that does the persuading.
What we built for Tactixs
A brand new venue with a brand new identity, so the site had to explain what Tactixs is before it could sell a single booking.
Activity pages
Each activity answers what it is, who it suits, how long it takes and what it costs, with imagery of people actually doing it.
Roller booking
Booking and payment run through Roller, so availability and pricing are managed in a system built for venues like this one.
Parties and groups
A route of its own for parties, groups and corporate days, because organising for twelve is a different job from booking for two.
Built on the new brand
Gritty texture and bold colour taken from an identity that was brand new, matched rather than toned down to suit a template.
Help and FAQs
The questions that come up before a group booking, answered in advance so they never become phone calls.
Careers
A careers section, because a venue like this is always hiring and the website is where people look first.
The Tech-Spec
Laravel on the back end with Roller handling bookings and payment, so availability and pricing sit in a system built for activity venues. The team update activities and site content themselves, and the front end was built around the new brand rather than adapted to fit it.

Most of our clients use more than one.
Bespoke websites
Designed and built from scratch around your business rather than adapted from a template. Every page and every field is there because it earns its place.
→ 02Booking systems
Take bookings and payments on your own site, around your own rules, without handing over a fee on every booking you take.
→ 03Maintenance
Updates, backups and security handled quietly in the background, so problems are dealt with before they become urgent.
