Digital product roadmap

Scoping and planning before anyone writes code, so the build has a shape, a sequence and a price you can take to a board.

Get a roadmap

The cheapest time to change your mind is before anyone writes code.

A roadmap gives you a professional plan for the project with no commitment to continue with us. You can take it to any agency or developer. If you do carry on with Element Seven, the full £499 + VAT comes off your project total.

01 No commitment

Take the roadmap to any agency or developer.

02 Cost recovered

Deducted in full if you build it with us.

03 Investment ready

Documentation that stands up to a funding panel.

04 Risk found early

Problems surfaced before they get expensive.

05 Real budget

Cost broken down, so there are no surprises.

06 Clear milestones

A sequence anyone can pick up and deliver.

What clients say

A real review, not one we wrote ourselves.

Worked quite extensively with the guys for many months on a bespoke project they done for our recruitment site. Professional and attentive from day one, always in contact for updates and opinions and genuinely no stone left unturned, and it shows through the website they created.

How we deliver

A fixed price agreed first, and the same people the whole way through.

01 Discovery & Strategy Session

We conduct a half-day intensive workshop to understand your vision, goals, target audience, and business model through interactive whiteboarding and idea mapping.

02 Market Research & Analysis

We review similar platforms and solutions to identify opportunities, risks, and industry best practices to inform your competitive strategy.

03 Budget Planning & Cost Estimates

We break down costs for design, development, hosting, and ongoing support, providing guidance on prioritization and optional phased investment plans.

04 MVP Definition & Roadmap Creation

We identify core features for your minimum viable product and create a clear roadmap from MVP to finished product with timeline estimates and risk mapping.

05 Project Roadmap Pack Delivery

We deliver a comprehensive, actionable document summarizing our session, recommendations, and plan, ready for stakeholders and investment pitches.

A fixed price, agreed first

You get the approach, what is in, what is out, a timeline and a price before anything starts. No hourly rate quietly running in the background.

What moves the number

How much of it is bespoke, how many systems it has to talk to, and how much content needs moving across. We will tell you which of those is driving the cost.

What happens after

A monthly plan covering updates, backups and small changes, priced separately so you can see exactly what the ongoing commitment is.

What is a digital product roadmap?

A short piece of paid work that turns an idea into something you can make a decision about. We work out what it is, who it is for, what has to exist in the first version, what can wait, what it will cost and what the risks are. You end up with a plan and a price rather than an estimate given over a phone call.

Who is it for?

Anyone about to spend a meaningful amount of money on software and wanting to know what they are buying first. That is usually a business with an internal process that has outgrown its tools, or a founder with a product idea who needs it costed before raising or committing funds.

What do we actually get at the end?

A written scope of the first version, a breakdown of features with what each is worth doing now or later, a costed build plan with phases, the technical approach, and an honest account of what could go wrong. Where it helps we include wireframes so the shape is visible rather than described.

Do we have to build it with you afterwards?

No. The roadmap is yours and it is written so another developer could quote against it. We would like to build it, but the document has to be worth paying for on its own or it is not doing its job.

How long does it take?

Usually two to four weeks depending on how much of the thinking is already done and how many people we need to talk to. It is deliberately short. The point is to reach a decision quickly, not to produce a document nobody reads.
