Apprenticeship website and application system for Riverpark Training

A bespoke website and application system for Riverpark Training, who place people into apprenticeships across Northern Ireland. The system sets out each course, handles applications online and lets the Riverpark team manage them without a printer.

What we did

Launched 2023

The Riverpark Training homepage, promoting apprenticeships in Northern Ireland

Riverpark Training in numbers

+142% applications a year 125 in 2022 against 303 in 2025, from the application system itself
330+ applications so far in 2026 In the first eight months, already ahead of any full year
8,000+ visits a year Sessions in the 12 months to July 2026

The challenge: two audiences, one page

Riverpark Training place people into apprenticeships across Northern Ireland, in trades like maintenance and repair.

They are selling to two audiences who want opposite things from the same page: a school leaver deciding what to do next, and an employer deciding whether to take one on.

Applications were the measurable part. A form that has to be printed, signed and posted loses most of the people who start it, and for a training provider an unfinished application is an unfilled place.

Both audiences also arrive with the same worry in different words. A school leaver wants to know whether they could do it, and an employer wants to know whether the person will turn up. One course page has to answer both.

Our approach: applications online

Riverpark Training deliver apprenticeships and vocational training across Northern Ireland, working with both the people starting out and the employers taking them on.

The site sets out each course plainly: what it covers, who it is for and what the commitment is, so somebody can work out whether it fits before speaking to anybody. Applications are handled online and land with the Riverpark team ready to process.

The design leans on photography of the trades themselves rather than stock imagery of classrooms, because the work is the reason people sign up in the first place.

The application system doubles as the evidence. Every application passes through it, so the figures on this page come out of the system rather than out of analytics, which is how we can say applications went from 125 in 2022 to 303 in 2025.

What we built for Riverpark Training

Two audiences who want opposite things from the same page, and one form that had to stop losing people.

Course pages

What each course covers, who it suits and what the commitment is, so somebody can decide before they have to speak to anybody.

Online applications

Applications are completed and submitted online, which is where the growth came from. A form that has to be printed loses most of the people who start it.

Application management

Applications land with the Riverpark team ready to process, with no printer anywhere in the chain.

Written for both sides

The same course pages answer a school leaver deciding what to do next and an employer deciding whether to take one on.

Photography of the trades

The actual work rather than stock images of classrooms, because the trade is the reason anybody signs up.

Its own record of demand

Every application goes through the system, so the numbers on this page come from the system itself rather than from analytics.

What Colin said

Element Seven recently redesigned our website and we couldn't be happier. From first consultation to finished product, their attention to detail and patience with a litany of daft questions were unfailing. We have no hesitation in recommending Element Seven to anyone.

Laravel and Vue, with a bespoke application system behind it. Courses are managed by the Riverpark team, applications are completed online and arrive ready to process, and because every application passes through the system it doubles as the provider’s own record of demand.

Services on this project

Most of our clients use more than one.

01

Bespoke websites

Designed and built from scratch around your business rather than adapted from a template. Every page and every field is there because it earns its place.

02

Web applications

Software that does a job for the business rather than describing it. Members platforms, custom admin software and internal tools built around how the work actually gets done.
