Course website and consultation booking for Agile Mindset Mastery
An entry level website on Craft CMS for certified agile trainer John McLaughlan, built to sell his courses, publish his writing and take consultation bookings straight from the page.
Agile Mindset Mastery in numbers
The challenge: launching from nothing
John McLaughlan had a brand, a set of agile methodology courses, and nowhere to put them.
A trainer selling professional development has to look established before anyone will book, and that is a hard impression to make when the business is one person and the budget matches. Anything that looked cheap would cost him the enquiry.
He also had to run it himself. Course dates move, new material gets written, and paying an agency every time that happens was never going to work.
There was no traffic to build on either. A new domain with no history has to earn every visit, so the structure needed to give search engines something to work with from the first week: a page per course, a clear reason for each one to exist, and writing that answers what people actually type in.
Our approach: courses first
We built him a site that looks like an established training business and runs like a one person one.
The design came out of his new brand: clean, confident, and warm enough to read as a person rather than a consultancy. Courses lead, because courses are what he sells, and each one sets out what it covers, who it suits and what happens next.
Craft CMS sits behind it. John adds a course, moves a date, publishes an article and swaps a resource without opening a ticket. That was the condition the whole build had to meet, so the admin was shaped around the handful of jobs he does every month rather than everything Craft can do.
Calendly is wired into the enquiry route, so somebody interested books a conversation in the same visit instead of waiting on a reply. All of it sits under our entry level service, which keeps the cost down without capping what the site can grow into.
What we built for Agile Mindset Mastery
An entry level build, which means a tight scope rather than a thin one. Everything here earns its place.
Course pages
Every course gets its own page, with the syllabus, the audience and the commitment set out before any pricing conversation starts.
Consultation booking
Calendly is embedded in the enquiry route, so somebody who wants to talk picks a slot in John’s diary instead of waiting for an email back.
Resource library
Downloadable material John publishes himself, which gives people a reason to arrive long before they are ready to book.
Writing and blog
A place to publish on agile practice, which is where most of the site’s search traffic starts and how a new domain builds a footprint.
Enquiry handling
A short form that offers a chat about a mastery journey rather than demanding a phone call, landing straight in his inbox.
Content management
Craft pared back to the jobs John actually does: add a course, change a date, post an article, swap a resource.
The Tech-Spec
Craft CMS on the back end, chosen because it gives a single editor a clean, uncluttered place to work rather than a builder full of options nobody needs. Calendly handles consultation bookings, Vue drives the interactive parts of the front end, and the whole thing is hosted and maintained by us.
HTML5, SCSS, CSS3, Vue.js
Calendly integration, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager
Services on this project
Most of our clients use more than one.
Entry-level websites
A smaller, fixed-price start for a newer business that still has to be built properly, and can be grown into a full build later.
→ 02Maintenance
Updates, backups and security handled quietly in the background, so problems are dealt with before they become urgent.
→More work
